Aal Izz Well

This blog might sound like a movie review ;)

Watched 3 Idiots over the weekend of Christmas and its non-stop fun. Even though the movie is no where close to the actual book but it’s almost as entertaining as the read. It has this Munna bhai feel to it as expected but with a bit more fun and Amir Khan. I was disappointed by Rajiv Masand’s 3 start rating to the movie, I am not sure of what else he expects from a movie. I would say go and watch it, it’s funny and entertaining with good songs and background score. Amir Khan is excellent as Rancho, Boman Irani is meticulous in his role and Sharman Joshi is funny as usual.
The message of the movie is 'run after excellence not success'. I am not sure how many follow this these days where everything you do is measured in or measured as success or failure. I am also not sure on how many students today go to college just for the fun of learning something new, but it would be interesting to see how many ppl will turn up for class where there will be no exams no grades given at the end.
Enough of the movie... I think. Had a nice weekend in Chicago and took some snaps. I hope summer comes quickly this time around so that i can take some colorful pics. Here are the snaps from late fall to first snow storm
PS: When you think life is harsh and difficult say to yourself that ‘Aal Izz Well’ and move on :P

First clicks with my D90

Started this blog almost a year back to blog about my thoughts at that time but never actually wrote anything. Now that i bought my D90, thinking about posting the pics that i take. So here we go, this collection includes the very first pics that i took.

I was so excited the day when i got the camera in UPS, though I was annoyed by the UPS ppl for not letting me pick it up from their office, instead made me wait around 2 hrs for them to deliver it to my apartment. Quickly opened the pack and charged the battery and then realized that i donno anything about photography. Lot of buttons and options, i know nothing about any of them. Auto modes were my frnds in the first couple of days.

After a week as well couldn’t actually figure out on how to take amazing pics but whatever I take in which ever mode or options are ok looking, may be that’s the nicest thing about these cameras and their technology. Still long way to go before I can take reasonably good pics but it’s a start nonetheless.
